Tl the contact owns a 2008 Mazda 5. When the contact started the vehicle, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 149,000. The VIN was not available.

I have had my airbag light on my dashboard turn on. This is the third time it does that. I'm scared it's going to explode on me when I'm driving. Please let me know if there's a recall for the car I have. Driving with a scare feeling is not good.

The air bag light will not go off after driving for a while and blinks fast in motion, first time this happened I was making a turn on city street.

The air bag light on control panel is flashing when I start the engine after a working day. No rhyme or reason at all. There is no any impaction from outside and/or going over bumpers. It comes in and out in the first day and two, and then it's stayed on and flashed the code 19, which according to the manual means restraint control module - memory full. So I took it to Mazda dealership and diagnosed the issue at my expense. According to the dealer report, they cannot reset the computer module such as clean memory; instead, I am asked to replace the clock spring for fix the driver side air bag. However, in the meantime, all the controls on the steering are working perfectly, horn/cruse control/ volume control for the stereo.

The air bag light would start flashing and then disappear, but only to begin flashing again when the vehicle was in gear. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the vehicle but the flashing of the air bag light is distracting and is becoming a nuisance.

My husband was driving the car on the highway and the car began to stall and slow down suddenly. The car's heat indicator light went on high and then went to cold. He could not drive the car past 45 miles. When my husband exited the ramp off the highway the car shut down completely. The incident could potentially put my husband in a deadly accident having had stalled and stopped on a highway with cars speeding behind him. We were told by a Mazda dealer that we are responsible for replacing the engine which apparently blew. They claim the engine had no oil, but we know the car should have had oil. No check oil light ever came on. In addition, this car stalled while I was driving on the highway 6 months after we purchased the car. That time I was able to pull over to the slow lane and drive it slowly as that time it also did not allow me to drive past 45 miles. The dealer fixed the problem stating that it was the trans control module that was defective. Earlier this month the car began to stall again while I was driving on the highway once more, the mechanic suggested to replace the transmission. I failed to mention that a few months after buying the car the air bag light would come on indicating that it was not working. We expected all the troubles with the car to be electrical, but either way these problems could have caused our lives.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that they could not duplicate the failure. There were no repairs. The vehicle was taken twice to the dealer but the dealer was never able to duplicate the failure. The contact sent a letter to the manufacturer and was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was 20,800.
