1 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2021

Car is mint for age. Stock oem hid style headlights failed, headlights are still clear. The turn signals failed and activated safetys. Ground plug under air filter assembly that is a piece of metal bolted to car with 5 wires that plug into it corroded so bad no ground connection and each of the wires made no connection to the plug. No info on how to diagnose and/or repair. Common problem. Took everything apart and soaked all corroded parts in a solution of clr, everything put back together clean with dielectric grease. Numerous shops could not diagnose including 1 dealer. Said headlights needed to be replaced at $500+/ side parts only. Very common on the rare factory installed hid systems. Wiring is different.

2 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 12/22/2018

Low beam head lights aren't bright enough to see the road clearly.

3 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2012

The low beam headlamps on my 2006 Mazda 6 have repeatedly gone out on my in the past year. Many times while driving. This last time I tried to replace the low beam headlamp and the bulb was not blown. I inserted the new bulb and it still doesn't work. This is a problem for Mazda 6's and 3's my parents are going on their 9 bulb in the Mazda 3. According to many Mazda forums this is a reoccurring problem for a number of other owners as well. This must be addressed driving at night is difficult enough but when your lights go out it makes it down right dangerous.
