The contact owns a 2009 Mazda 6. The contact stated that the dashboard was melting. As a result, the sun caused a glare which impaired the contact's vision. There was also a sticky substance present. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact also stated that the vehicle's alarm activated randomly. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The mechanic stated that the rear driver side door failed to close and the door latch was replaced. The failure recurred and the front passenger side door latch was replaced. The contact was made aware of NHTSA campaign number: 13v425000 (latches/locks/linkages); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that both front door locks detached from the vehicle. The dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but denied any assistance with repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximately failure and current mileages were 58,000.
