The consumer's seven year old daughter went to open the door handle on the passenger's side and it completely broke off and daughter fell through three feet back. The handle was made by plastic and held on by two very thin pieces of plastic. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, and they never saw a handle come off like this one did. But the Mazda representative said that it was normal wear and tear. This happened on September 13, 2005.
