Brake Electric Antilock Problems of Mazda MPV

The contact owns a 2003 Mazda Mpv. When the brakes were applied the vehicle would surge. The failure occurred everytime the brakes were applied. A safety recall notice was received in 2004 and the repair was made to the vehicle. The failure had reoccured. He was uncertain about the exact mileage on his vehicle.

While applying the brake from 56-60 mph the brake pedal got hard, and the vehicle experienced extended stopping distances before it v was able to stop. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that they could not find anything wrong. Dealer was not notified.

While driving could step on the brakes pedal and experience an extended stopping distance. Had received recall notice 01 v 382 000 from manufacturer. Please provide more information.

Consumer stated when the brakes were applied at 65mph while exiting off a ramp, there was extended stopping distance which resulted in a collision.

Abs brake problems. While at a complete stop, brake pedal went to floor, van started rolling forward and hit a commerical truck traveling about 50 mph. Van was totalled. Also, air bags failed to inflate.
