Uniroyal 2256016 awp ii on all four wheels. Van started pulling to the right and got progressively worse until I took it in for alignment. Alignment was fine. Kept driving. Pulling got so bad that van would start careening off road if steering wheel was let go (even at slow speeds). Removed front right tire and put on front left wheel - van started pulling left. Took van in to tire store - technician indicated tread had approx 15,000 miles left, but tread was separating from rest of tire.

I lost the tread on my tire on hwy 77 north of statesville, nc. Zack's towing towed my car to his shop. Terry, the owner, said I needed to replace the other front tire so he put on two new tires. Both 215/65/15 one with dot h29xypo1 4803 and the other dot h29ypo1 4304. Not the correct size and old tires. Contacted terry, he spoke with my step daughter and said we were full of "crap" about asking for a refund and issues with the tires and safety. The tires are sitting at my stepdaughter's house, for I had new tires put on before traveling back to florida- I did not feel safe at all. I just lost my husband and I am 70 years old, I don't think it is right to be taken advantage of and creating a possible safety issue at my age or any age.

Bad vibration caused by the front brake rotors being out of round. Dealer resurfaced rotors two times and now needs resurfacing a third time. The Mpv only has 31,000 miles on it. The dealer will not replace under warranty. This should not happen at approximately every 10,000 miles. It is a 2003 purchased new in 2004. The tires are wearing in the front due to the alignment to the point of needing replaced. The alignment should not of gone bad in this short of time.
While parked in the driveway consumer noticed that the right front tire was flat. The tire was taken to a tire dealership, who indicated that the tire needed to be replaced because it had worn out on one side, and had a big grove in it. The tire was replaced with a different model tire with the same grade. A week later, the same problem occurred on the rear of driver's side tire, and the other two tires had started wearing the same way. The other tires were taken to a tire retail store, technician indicated that the manufacturer put the wrong size tires on the van, and that they were aware of it . These tires were not adequate for the weight of the van. Also, dealer indicated that this was a common problem, and manufacturer was replacing these 92s tires with 94sa.
I own a 2001 Mazda Mpv dx. In the user manual and on the door label, the manufacturer recommends a 94 for weight. Many tire shops offer a 92 rated based on books and computer programs. I drove 50,000 miles using michelin hydroedge rated 92. I could feel lug driving the car all this time. Is it ok to install tires having a lower weight rate, than the manufacturer recommends?.

Consumer received a recall letter from Mazda manufacturer. Dealer won't honoring the recall letter. Please provide further information. Ph.
The vehicle experienced a tire failure. 8jb.
Belt runout with one tire. This may be related to recall - 00v113001. Mazda claims tires meet 94 load rating. However, the early failure of a tire leads me to think that the tires are too small and do not meet the 94 load rating. Also, the labels issued by Mazda say to use a replacement tire that is a 205/65 15 94s and inflate it to 35 psi. This is wrong. Only 3 tires are available in that size with a load rating of 94. They all require you to inflate the tires to 44 psi or greater. This is a serious safety issue. Mazda is suggesting owners under-inflate the tires by 9 to 16 psi. The standard tire rating for a 205/65 15 is a 1992. (tiresize: 205/65 15).
Yokohama tires p205/65r15, dot fd9lnhl0300 are faulty, consumer had tires replaced.

Ltr from consumer who is writing on behalf of her 71 year old stepmother who was sold old tires as well as the wrong size tires. The tires were four and five years old. The consumer stated by installing the wrong size tires on the vehicle, it made it shake adamantly at higher speeds.
While vehicle was parked and turned off front tire exploded. Cause of the failure was undetermined.
Tires are wearing badly on outside edge. I have kept tires inflated to 35 psi (their maximum limit). I first noticed this when I had the tire rotated-the rear tires were worn, the front ones were not. Now that four months have elapsed since last rotation, I see the same wear pattern on the rear tires (which were the front tires prior to rotation). These same tires had normal wear prior to rotation. I had to alignment checked and was told by an independent tire shop that the alignment was well within tolerances-this was done July 28, 2001. Fairway Mazda does not consider this to be a warranty or defect issue since the brunt is on me to prove that I have faithfully kept tire pressure at 35 psi. I have a 1984 Honda prelude that has three year old tires, has its tires rotated alot less frequently, and is aligned less frequently and its tires are wearing normally and evenly and I check the tire pressure as often or less than I do the Mazda. Based on this, I believe there to be a defect either in the tires or the van. Thank you for your help. (dot number: fd9lnhl229 tiresize: p205/65r15).
