One problem related to front seat power adjust has been reported for the 1999 Mazda Protege. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
After turning vehicle off & exiting vehicle driver received a severe static electric shock. The interior seats are made of cloth. Took vehicle to 1st dealership & informed no such problem. The problem can happen while just driving for 5 minutes or for longer periods. Was shown printout by another dealership about static electricity. Problem can not be solved.
