Air Bag Problems of Mazda Protege

Today we got into an accident and the passenger airbag didn't come out until after my grandaughter's face hit the windsheild.

2003 Mazda Protege 5 was traveling approximately 45mph and struck a moving vehicle in the rear quarter panel. No air bag was deployed in the Mazda Protege 5. The other vehicle's airbags deployed.

Got into an accident at intersection , airbags did not work , as a result I have serious chest pains . Vehicle was in motion going straight while a vehicle at intersection was turning left across my road.

I was out of the car & both air bags exploded , there was a recall on the air bags , but I was never informed by Mazda corp ,I became aware of the recall after the air bags exploded.

The air bags exploded while I was out side the car , there was a recall on the air bags & I was never notified by either Mazda corp or the dealer & I have been the original owner , there has been numerous recalls on the 1995 Protege & at no time I was ever contacted that there was a recall period. In 1997 the engine died & I had to pay the sum of $1500. 00 to replace the engine & there were a recalls also & I received no notification of a recall , I contacted both Mazda of north America & the dealer plaza auto mall where I purchased the car in 1995 & both refused my request to address this matter .

Front end collision, air-bag failed resulting in injuries.

The consumer's vehicle was involved in a collision. Upon impact, none of the air bags deployed. The consumer had run a stop sign and hit another vehicle head-on while passing through an intersection.

I was in a single car accident. I hit a guard rail, went through it and rolled down a 30 foot embankment. I suffered neck and shoulder injuries and back injuries. I have not driven a car since this accident. In the emergency room a nurse said I had a possible spinal compression fracture. I thought my car was suppose to have air bags, I saw the car for the first time since the accident yesterday. The whole car is beat up. . . The roof, the front, the back both sides, and not even 1 of the air bags deployed. I am so grateful my car had such a high safety rating. . . Yeah right. Now I am afraid to drive any car. Consumer states that the vehicle was rear end at approximately 30-40 mph and neither air bag deployed. The dealer has been notified. Nlm.

The above description is the first time the transmission had been repaired. Now at 47,000 miles, the transmission is out again. Joey.
