Brake Foundation Components Problems of Mazda Protege

Brake system is failing intermittently. It has done so about six times in a three week period before bringing the car to the Mazda dealer for service on September 13, 2001. Specifically, on some occasions when the breaks are applied, the brake pedal goes to the floor eventually stopping the car, but very slowly. On other occasions, the brakes appear to operate properly. The service department at ocean Mazda claims they are unable to duplicate the problem, and therefore cannot fix it. I have elected to leave the car at the dealership for an extended period of time for fear of driving it.

1) airbag didnt deploy during a right angle (t bone) accident at an intersection . . The driver (me) systained head and face / chest injuries. 2) since new the right rear brake on my non abs car lockes up very easily, and has caused a spin out in several cases, on wet surfaces. A dealer tried to do something, but it has not corrected the problem. Further, when I wrote Mazda customer service hq, they simply said to go back to a dealer for their judgement / action to correct the problem.

While accelerating vehicle would make a noise. Dealer serviced vehicle and notice a brake dust problem. Problem returned. Dealer serviced, and noticed steering column needed to be replaced. Please provide further information.
