Two problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 2000 Mercedes Benz 320. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated while driving 55 mph on the highway, the vehicle stalled without warning. It was maneuvered off the road and restarted. The vehicle stalled again at 55 mph. It was later towed to the dealer who determined the air bag sensor failed causing the engine to stall. The dealer replaced the air bag sensor. Updated 10/31/2006 -.
Consumer 's vehicle was involved in a crash. Upon impact the air bags failed to deploy. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, who sent out a team of technicians to investigate the crash, and they concluded that the vehicle was not hit in the right spot. Thus, not allowing the air bags to deploy as designed.
