Me, [xxx], and my ex-wife went to buy this car from a auto auction, plate where out state, but I figure wouldn't cost me much to register, bought it February 6, 2021 and I am kind of short in money to register car but then couple week after driving check engine pop up so I had free check engine by auto zone parts, so then it wasn't serious needed change oil change and filters, so I drove more so everything was going good ready for smoke check, but I didn't have the money so I ask my ex-wife to let me borrow money around may of month, so I was driving to her home, and out of no where I got hit in the front driver side lower fender from some silver low profile car, I was going 30's mile street but when I got hit by anomies driver the driver side bag pop up and also the passenger side too!! I was stunt and confused, wasn't a hard hit, driver that hit me run off, I pulled over the side of street. Couple light show up in dash board I don't recall what they said. I called my lawyer an he mention there was problems and recalls in a takata air bag deploying. I did a research and sure enough my car had takata air bags. I made the report, on June 16, 2921 they sent a email that they will fallow up and investigate, I did sent pictures and mileage 150,000 around there so am still waiting for their action. I have been notified about the safety air bag recall however, I have just found oil in my wiring harness. My car is idling very rough and stalling, the check engine light is on, I received 8 codes. I have oil in my camshaft wiring harness, my piston 1 fuel inject, spark plugs, and front of the engine where camshaft adjuster magnets are covered in black sludge oil. Another mercedes owner told me the same thing happened to his car and was "pigtailed" there has been a recall on this issue for this type of car 2005 C230 kompressor sport the recall number is #200910001. I would like for the Mercedes Benz dealership to resolve this issue, I need a government letter to be approved. May you please assist me with this request?.

Hello there, this is my vehicle information 2006 Mercedes Benz C230 sport VIN : wdbrf52h46f752584 and this is the NHTSA recall number : 16v081 manufacturer recall number : 2018030001 I have started a research after I have experienced too many issues with electrical wiring & headlamps, tailgate lights, stop lights, parking lights and the malfunction on the horn which has stopped working since 2/2/2019. I have also being pulled over by police officers stating that the malfunction on my tail gate lights and stop / brake lights and also headlamps must be repaired ASAP, I did bought new bulbs and replaced the old bulbs on both low beam headlamps and brake/ stop & parking lights but they only work well for a few days but then they just stop working or work intermittently . . . . I have received a traffic violation ticket on 12/28/2018 after several pulled over from the same police department officers as they do not believe that I indeed have replaced the bulbs aforementioned ( I have attached the receipt for that violation ). The issue that worries me the most is the honk failure and the driver passenger airbag recall, those are a very sensitive safety matter and I please want to get help to get this fix. I have already contact 2 Mercedes Benz dealerships here in California ( downtown la motors & rusnak Mercedes Benz of arcadia, CA ). . . . At this time I haven't received any reply to my calls and emails, and I am really worry about it because this is the only vehicle I have and drive to commute to work and to pleasure on weekends when I take with me my 10 years old son, and that is the part that worries me the most, I do not want to risk my son in an event of a frontal crash with the airbags failure, that can cause the airbag to explode with shatter debris that can seriously injure my son and myself and even cause death. . . Takata recall. I called Mercedes Benz of USA on April 24, 2018 to request information as to when the vehicle identified above would be scheduled to have its affected airbags replaced. Their response indicates that I am in for a very long wait. Their priority of replacement focuses on vehicles in humid environments. The vehicle described above was originally purchased in and spent a significant period of time in boston. Ma. I am concerned about possibly being mortally wounded by the current airbag in an otherwise non-fatal accident.
Takata recall mercedes sent me a letter saying my local dealer had parts to fix the airbag. My local mercedes dealer said mercedes did not send them any parts for me. Took car to dealership for recall service on driver airbag module, after driving away once job was finished noticed I was unable to turn steering wheel and the steering wanted to lock while driving. Srs light remained on. Smoke came out from under the hood and car was not overhearing, I called dealership and service advisor was gone and was not offered any additional help. I drove car slowly to my home and parked it on the street because I was unable to drive to the driveway. I opened hood and smoke was coming from power steering reservoir and also leaking fluid. I did not have any issues driving my vehicle prior to this recall service. I was put endanger along with my 2 kids and now having to fix other costly repairs and have no additional vehicle to drive. We havent received any recall notice to repair this problem after hearing about the recall on the news .
"takata recall" I bought my car used in January 2017 with an open recall from January 2016, it has been almost 2 years now and Mercedes Benz of walnut creek has stated they will contact me when the replacement parts are available. I worry constantly about driving my car with defective airbags and worry about my safety. I cannot understand why it takes almost 2 years to replace an item that can possibly cause my death. This is unacceptable to me and I would like to have this resolved immediately.

Almost 2 now) about getting the airbags replaced as my now pregnant wife drives that vehicle. They have confirmed the airbags in the car are the recalled takata airbags but, no actions have been taken by mercedes to provide a solution to this recall for resolution thus placing millions in harms way as a result of inaction.
