Check valve on the m271 motor in my 2005 C230 has a defect allowing the supercharged air to enter into the crankcase of the engine pushing oil into it and it caused a misfire reading, loss of power and the check engine light to go on. The campaign I found identical to my problem is number is 2008020002. However it's repair coverage is only associated with a range of VIN #'s throughout 2003-2005 which my car is a 2005, but the campaign is not listed under my VIN#.

Check engine light illuminated after 1,000 miles after I bought the car used. The car had 47,000 miles. The engine was not performing as well as it had been. The dealer ran a diagnostic which revealed six sensors had failed and needed replacing. Upon subsequent investigation the dealer found that oil had leaked into the sensors wiring harness and contaminated the sensors.
