Tl-the contact owns a 2001 Mercedes Benz c 240. The contact stated while driving 5 mph, the all brake lights (abs and etc. ) illuminated and the engine used excessive force to accelerate. When the engine is warm from driving an extended amount of time and a complete stop was made, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The failure occured on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the esp control needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000. Jb.
