1 Timing Tensioner problem

The contact owns a 2013 mercedes-benz C250. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken for an air bag replacement at dick dyer mercedes-benz service center (5825 two notch rd, columbia, SC 29223) and the contact was informed that the vehicle cranked excessively while starting. The contact was informed that the timing mechanism needed to be replaced. The timing chain tensioner and camshaft adjusters, needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 57,800.

2 Timing Tensioner problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2018

85000 miles, regular oil changes and maintenance, did not drive for 8 months, after 1 month of driving, engine would not start at times and sounded strange when cranking engine would eventually start and run o. K. , took vehicle to dealership after 2nd occurence, acceleration has always lagged since purchased-turbo lag ??? dealership said problem was internal with cam tensioner possibly.
