A recall was issued Jan 2019 for the passenger side airbag. It is now April 2020 and all I have heard is that there is no remedy available. How long is a reasonable amount of time to wait for the parts to be available?.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Mercedes Benz C250. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v627000 (air bag) and (passenger side air bags) however, the parts needed for the repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning remained illuminated. The contact was concerned for the safety of both her daughter and her self that the air bag might deploy and called Mercedes Benz of pembroke pine dealer at (954) 644-5035, located at 14199 pines blvd, pembroke pines, FL 33027, and it was informed parts were not available for the repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000. Part distribution disconnect campaign number: 17v627000 (air bag) and VIN tool confirms part not available. Passenger side air bag. Aw.
