Seven problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2008 Mercedes Benz C300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata inflators. Manufacturer recall number2018030009 NHTSA recall number16v363 and manufacturer recall number2018030011 NHTSA recall number16v081 **5/4/18 srs malfunction warning light came on for srs on driver/left side.
Nhtsa recall number: 716v081 recall date: February 11, 2016 manufacturer recall number: 2016020003 certain mercedes-benz vehicles and one fca model are equipped with driver-side front airbags provided by the supplier tk holdings inc. ("takata"). On January 25, 2016 takata filed a defect information report with NHTSA announcing a potential defect in some of the subject inflators. Based upon takata's information to date, takata is aware of four test ruptures in ballistic tests of non-desiccated psdi-5 inflators. Takata is not aware of any field incidents in which a psdi-5 inflator has ruptured, either desiccated or non-desiccated. Takata is taking this action in an abundance of caution, to address all of the subject non-desiccated psdi-5 air bag inflators, due to the similarities of design and manufacturing characteristics for this type of inflator used in the u. S. Market. Dag is not aware of any field incidents with the subject takata psdi-5 inflators. However, based on the information above and in an abundance of caution, dag will conduct a voluntary recall of the vehicles equipped with subject takata psdi-5 inflators in the united states as identified by takata in the defect information report.
Takata recall: I have air bag recall 3 times: Feb 11, 2016, may 25, 2016, Jan 10, 2017 but when I contacted my Mercedes Benz dealer 5 times, they said the airbag replacement hasn't arrived on all the times I called. Feb 11, 2016: it's driver-side front airbags defect related to takata psdi-5 inflators. May 25, 2016: passenger-side front airbags takata pspi-2 inflators. Jan 10, 2017: passenger-side front airbags defect related to inflators.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 mercedes-benz C300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v081000 (air bags) for the driver frontal air bag inflator and 16v363000 (air bags) for the passenger frontal air bag inflator. The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The local dealer (mercedes-benz of northlake located at 10725 old statsville rd, charlotte, nc) was not able to assist the contact and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and informed the contact that they were repairing the vehicles in order according to the heat/ humidity and that it was not time to service her vehicle yet. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall airbag inflators. I have 2 open recalls for takata airbags. Recall #16v-363 passenger-side airbag module, recall #16v-081 driver-side airbag module. These recall notices are over 1 year old. I have been waiting for my dealership to contact me once they receive the parts. As of today, still no parts.
Takata inflators: it has been more than 18 months since this recall : 16 v081 and 16 v363 have been issued. Still no reply from mercedes. Can you inform us as to what is being done to remedy these issues. Driving this car is similar to a "russian roulette"!!!!.
Takata inflators recall srs controls manufacturing error this auto should have never left the factory floor it has cost me considerable mental upset and money which I can not afford it parked unsafe to drive engine lite on mercedes should repair or rebuilt this auto I am a disable veteran and need my transportation. Mercedes should take the air bags out better there out than go off accidently.
