Takata recall I have received multiple notices since 2016 from Mercedes Benz dealership in santa rosa, CA regarding the takata airbag recall (NHTSA recall # 16v081, #16v363) for both driver-side and passenger-side airbag modules under recall campaign #2018120017. I have been notified since December of 2018 that the parts are now available for this recall campaign, including emails from the dealership stating that the repair is "extremely urgent" and that failure to complete the repair may result in severe injury or death to driver and/or passengers. However, I have scheduled the service appointment multiple times, only to be told that the parts are actually not available. The dealer is unable to give me any estimate of when the parts for this recall will actually be available. Please help me expedite the repair with the dealership, Mercedes Benz of santa rosa (2885 corby Ave santa rosa, CA 95407 (888) 878‑0186).
Passenger side airbag must be replaced.
Takata recall - Mercedes Benz fail to replace both my front (driver & passenger) side airbag and keep on saying they do not when they will replace them. I am concerned I am driving my vehicle in unsafe condition. They told me in January 2017 that they will be replaced by October 2017 but they fail to keep their promise. I called them today, 11/1/2017 and they say the same statement that they don't know when they can replace the air bags.
Takata recall I received recall notices on may and August 2016 from Mercedes Benz USA to replace the driver's side and passenger side airbags which states that they may rupture due to excessive internal pressure, likely to occur if vehicle is exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time, possibly causing serious injury or death. I live in south florida and the temps have been in the 100s with off the charts humidity every month! I live in fear of driving my car and dying in an airbag explosion. Weekly calls to the mercedes dealer said they don't have the parts yet! my husband's 2007 Honda ridgeline was replaced immediately. Could you please explain why it's taking so long to fix this dangerous defect for my car? thank you.
Takata recall received notification from mercedes dealership may 2016 regarding safety recall 2016020003 for driver side air-bag module. As of today 10/25/17 I am still waiting for this condition to be corrected.
Takata recall driver side air bag recall sent in Feb. 2016 and recall on passenger side air bags on Mar 2016 however we have yet to get issue resolved. Contacted dealership many times without any useful information on the replacement of the air bags.
