I have been notified since December of 2018 that the parts are now available for this recall campaign, including emails from the dealership stating that the repair is "extremely urgent" and that failure to complete the repair may result in severe injury or death to driver and/or passengers. However, I have scheduled the service appointment multiple times, only to be told that the parts are actually not available. Takata airbag recall - the recall letter that I received January 31, 2018 states that the part to repair the car will not be available until September 2018 for the driver side air bag and September 2019 for the passenger side air bag. I don't want my wife driving this car until the fix/repair is done. Two years is a long time to wait for parts. We want a loaner vehicle provided by the manufacturer.

Takata recall - Mercedes Benz fail to replace both my front (driver & passenger) side airbag and keep on saying they do not when they will replace them. I am concerned I am driving my vehicle in unsafe condition. They told me in January 2017 that they will be replaced by October 2017 but they fail to keep their promise. I called them today, 11/1/2017 and they say the same statement that they don't know when they can replace the air bags.
Takata recall I received recall notices on may and August 2016 from Mercedes Benz USA to replace the driver's side and passenger side airbags which states that they may rupture due to excessive internal pressure, likely to occur if vehicle is exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time, possibly causing serious injury or death. I live in south florida and the temps have been in the 100s with off the charts humidity every month! I live in fear of driving my car and dying in an airbag explosion. Weekly calls to the mercedes dealer said they don't have the parts yet! my husband's 2007 Honda ridgeline was replaced immediately. Could you please explain why it's taking so long to fix this dangerous defect for my car? thank you.
Takata recall. Takata and mercedes have failed to replace both the passenger and driver side airbags. I have contacted the local mercedes dealer dozens of times to check on the status of a replacement to no avail.
We received a recall notice on the driver's side airbag two years ago for this car. We have called the mercedes hot line 4 times, left a message and have not received a response. We have spoken with are dealer 8 times with an answer "it is fine no one has been injured so far". We line in missouri with high humidity, heat and the car is old. In March we received a recall for this car for the passenger side. No information, no idea of when the bags will be replaced. Help. We want new airbags and mercedes is doing nothing.
The driver side airbag deployed while driving. We were traveling ~25 mph down a hill and the airbag deployed at random.

Cannot get local dealer to replace defective passenger side airbag. Keep getting a run around on part availability .
Vehicle recalled for takata passenger-side airbags in January 2017. Received a notice from mb in March 2017. As of 12/4/17 still no replacement parts available. What is taking so long? are they awaiting for more injuries and law suits?.
I received a notice August, 2016 notifying me of a defective driverside airbag. I called my dealer twice and was told they are waiting to received shipment and will contact me when they arrive. It is now October ,2017 and still have not heard from them.
I was in accident on 8/15/16 side impact I want to know why the side airbags didn"t deploy, the car was totaled by the insurance company. I was driving on a the city street the young man thought he had the right of way to turn left with incoming traffic and he struck my car from the side.
"takata recall" received 2 recall notices one for the drivers side dated June 2016 and one for the passenger side air bags dated August 2016.
Takata recall this problem has gone from a takara recall to a passenger -side airbag recall. I am highly concerned that everyday I transport my child to and from school can be at danger of metal fragments deploying if this airbag releases.
I received notification of a defective passenger side airbag in may 2016. I have received two subsequent letters dated December 2017 and just today February 14, 2019 stating the problem and that the company ( Mercedes Benz USA ) through their parent company daimler ag was taking all necessary measures to remedy this situation. We were also told that they were working closely with the national highway traffic safety administration and airbag suppliers to provide a remedy as soon as possible, and to prioritize repairs according to risk factors identified through testing. We have been told once again that replacement parts are not yet available, but we will be contacted once parts become available. It has been 2 1/2 years and still no remedy. We are driving around with a bomb waiting to go off in the front seat of our vehicle. When is enough enough? are we waiting for someone to be injured or killed. I purchased Mercedes Benz vehicle because I was lead to believe they were one of the seven safest cars on the road. I do not have a warm and fuzzy feeling about owning my mercedes when the parent company cannot remedy a situation that puts my family and I at risk. I would have expected more from Mercedes Benz. Going forward I do not want more empty promises. Fix this problem once and for all so you might restore some confidence in your name again.
3 years ago my car had a driver side airbag recall. I call the dealership every 4 months and nothing has been repaired. Now, in 2019 I just found out there is a recall on the passenger side airbag too. The dealership has told me there is nothing they can do right now on either recall. It is my problem. Anything I can do?.
Takata recall received notification from mercedes dealership may 2016 regarding safety recall 2016020003 for driver side air-bag module. As of today 10/25/17 I am still waiting for this condition to be corrected.
Takata recall: I called the main phone number for Mercedes Benz and there are no parts available to fix the recall on my front and side airbags.
"takata recall" it has been one year since I received a letter about the recall. I live in zone a . I have called Mercedes Benz several times about updates and possible timeline for replacement of the defective drivers and passenger side airbags. Each time I am told there is no solution and they are waiting for parts along with the reference to there have been no reported situations of premature deployment of the bags in a Mercedes Benz. When asked about frontal collisions there was no response. Is there any positive information about this recall?.
I am at my wits end and I don't know what to do to get someone to care. It has been 2 1/2 years since getting my initial recall letter and they still do not have the parts to remedy the situation. Its a huge deal too. The safety warning says thst the driver side air bag can deploy and projectile metal fragments causing severe bodily injury or death to everyone in the car. I originally thought it was the passenger air bag so I have not let anyone sit up front in a long time thinking that would keep us safer but now that I know it's the driver side airbag I can't even do anything to try to help myself until the dealerships decides we matter. For real. Someone is going to die unfortunately and it will be the fault of the manufacturer. I am appalled. I waited 20 years to buy my car. I saved a percentage of my tips and other income from college and when I had enough, I bought my car outright. I wanted this car more than anything being I had very little growing up so this is especially disappointing. I need a remedy to this. 2 1/2 years is unacceptable. Period.
I have been waiting way too long for my airbags to be replaced since receiving notification that there is a serious problem. This needs to be fixed now!!! I do not understand the delays. I feel afraid to drive my beautiful car for fear of bodily harm coming to me or my passengers. It started of with a recall letter for the drivers side airbag only then I received another letter telling me its the passenger side also. Please help me out here. Thank you for your time and attention to my request.
Takata recall driver side air bag recall sent in Feb. 2016 and recall on passenger side air bags on Mar 2016 however we have yet to get issue resolved. Contacted dealership many times without any useful information on the replacement of the air bags.
