Takata recall. I have been trying for over a year to get the airbags replaced. My local dealer , fort myers mercedes - benz continually tells me they do not have the replacement parts but that I should not drive the car. I have no choice but to drive the car as they won't provide me with a loaner and I cannot afford to rent another car while making payments on this car.

I received a recall notice a long time ago (as much as 2 years or more?). I keep checking with the dealer only to be told they haven't received replacement airbags. I don't like the safety implications as well as the possible impact on the value of my car. What can be done to expedite replacement?.
I received emails informing me that the air bags in my vehicle can explode and emit metal fragments. I was informed that they are waiting for replacement parts. It's been almost 2 years now and I am still waiting.
