2012 Mercedes Benz C350. Consumer writes in regards to passenger side airbag safety recall. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time completing the recall repair.

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 mercedes C350, the contact had received a recall notice two years ago for a seatbelt issue with the vehicle. The contact then contacted the dealership and was advised that parts were not available to complete the recall. The contact then received a second letter in August of 2017 for the passenger side airbag and again contacted mercedes, where the contact was advised that parts were not available to complete the recall. The contact had been waiting over two years for mercedes to have the parts in to complete NHTSA recall 17v017000 passenger side airbag and stated mercedes had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure with the vehicle. The VIN tool confirms recall incomplete, remedy not yet available. Cb.
