A warning saying front right malfunction service required. I took my vehicle to a mercedes dealership to have my vehicle inspected. I was told that the airbag seat cushion/weight sensing control unit all needed to be repaired/fixed. I have an extended warranty but this was not covered. I was told my airbag might not be deployed if I was involved in an accident and someone was in my front passenger seat. "no one should ride in the front passenger seat until this situation is taken care of. " I feel strongly that this should have been covered, plus it should've been a recall on this. It's a real safety issue!!! this need to be on the recall list for all mercedes or other vehicles with this particular issue.

There is a pvc problem. It has to do with the emission I found that is a common factory problem. Part is back order. Other cars with this issue and same part number are being recalled.
While driving the car on the beltway, the car unexpectedly and suddenly lost drive power. I pushed on the gas pedal and the car did move forward in a jerky motion. A minute or two later, the car again suddenly lost drive power. Again, I pushed on the gas pedal and the car jerked forward. After, these two episodes above, the car behaved normally for the rest of my 90 drive.
Instruments cluster not working after water water got into car from rain.
When taking curves the vehicle is making a cracking noise but, mechanic said they don’t see anything. The car lurches forward upon accelerating. Other times the car lags when accelerating after slowing for a dip or speed bump. This has caused me to almost be hit from behind on multiple occasions. My car has been in the shop multiple times since I bought it.
Crankcase ventilation valve malfunction requiring replacement code p052e71.
Once I turn on the ac and switch to heat I smell a strong gas odor everytime.
Battery being drained, the car does not start, water inside the vehicle on the floor at the drivers side.
The sunroof is leaking when it rains on the front upper left side by the driver. My safety is act risk because of the water coming in the car distracting me from driving and not sure if the water is damaging the electrical system in my car.
I've owned this vehicle for a few years and don't use it that often. I purchased it as a certified so I thought everything had been checked out. However, not too long ago I took my wife and my son who was home from college out to dinner. When we left and started back to the car, my son was ahead of us and didn't think when he lifted the door handle. The alarm came on and I was still quite some distance from the car. That didn't seem right so when we got home, I walked quite a distance from the locked car and had him try it again. Again the door came open when he lifted the handle and the alarm came on. After resetting it, I locked it again and this time had him try all handles. They all locked except the rear (passenger) door on the driver's side. That convinced me that something was wrong. I took it to the dealer, the same place I purchased it from three years ago and they said the door lock was bad and it would cost me $800 to fix it. I thought that was a little steep and told them it was probably like that when I got it. That didn't mean anything to them. I am thinking of trading the car so I don't want to spend more money on it so I told them to hold off. I was searching for that problem on the internet and I ran across a recall notice that identifies that same problem on the same door in a number of other model mercedes, and I thought, that seems like a coincidence. What are the chances of that? the same manufacturer, the same year, the same problem on the same door. Only the model is different. Can someone check to see if there were any problems recorded for the E300 on bulletin 17v816000? it was on mercedes recall 2018010009 I have not checked to see if the door locks when the doors auto lock above 10 mph because I didn't want a chance for an accident.
While the vehicle was parked, at approximately 6:15 pm on June 11, 2022 while I was retrieving my ipod that was on the cupholder of my wife’s car, I got cut on the back of my right hand by the chrome plating lining the top part of the cupholder. The cut was painful and was one centimeter long. After I got cut I noticed that the chrome plating around the cupholder was peeling off and was sharp to the touch. The peeling off was mainly on the middle to the left-hand side of the center console cupholder, it is razor sharp and very dangerous. Please warn other drivers about this danger. It would be especially dangerous if someone gets cut while driving the car. It seems other Mercedes Benz owners have had this issue too: here - https://mbworld. My husband and I were driving on the interstate in indianapolis, indiana yesterday, november22, 2021 and out of the clear blue our sunroof exploded on our 2019 Mercedes Benz E300w4. This was not due to being hit by something and we were not near an overpass. It exploded from the center outward. This experience scared me to death as I tried to maintain control of our vehicle in the multi lanes of traffic. Glass fell from the sunroof into our back seat which was another concern. Thankfully, we didn't have our grandchildren with us. We immediately headed to the indianapolis mercedes dealership where I got the car for service. They told us that it was not covered under warranty due to the damage being glass. They then told us to contact our insurance company for help. They were absolutely no help to us and seemed to brush us off as quick as they could. We are scheduled to have the sunroof repaired next week, however, now I'm a week without a car to drive, and the cost of the repair is estimated to be upward of $2,000. I have completed some due diligence on this, and found that there has been a class action lawsuit filed February, 2021 against Mercedes Benz over this same defective problem. Let me know if you have any other information or assistance for me regarding this issue. Thank you!.
I fixed the issue.
In our mercedes the hvac system has a defect where it doesn't properly ventilate & grows mold that smells up the car. There has been a class action lawsuit about this exact problem and in the lawsuit they state that no amount of repairs can fix it. We have taken our car to the mercedes dealership countless times, they said they fixed it. We were sent home with a car that had something sprayed in the vents & smelled horrible & gave me a horrible headache the whole drive home. Then the mold smell came back a few days later any way. For almost a full year they have been avoiding us, the car is a lease & we just want a car that actually works properly & doesn't cause health problems with the moldy smell. They won't take the car back and trade it in for something that doesn't have all of these problems. We have had to take it in for multiple repairs and they even replaced the full engine because of some system failure it had. They won't call us back when they say will, we have spoken to managers, we even had corporate involved trying to get them to call us back & they even gave us a $2,000 credit for the troubles but it doesn't matter because Mercedes Benz of plano won't take it back. They want us stuck with this car because they don't want to be stuck with it. Please help, we have submitted complaints to the attorney general of texas & still nothing helps us. Please help us, this is a faulty vehicle and they won't fix it or give us a properly working vehicle. Please help! they won't listen to any of us.
I purchased this vehicle in January 2020. At first, the fuel filler door would not stay closed once I opened it to pump gas. Every time I would close it, it would pop back open. I would have to close it about 10 times before it would stay closed. Then, I went to pump gas and the fuel filler door would not open although the vehicle was unlocked. People expect better quality from such an expensive brand. Mercedes benz needs to address this widespread issue with the fuel filler door.
For the past month we have a lat of rain during the rain inside the car on driver side up to 3 inch of water and stay like that for several days 3 weeks a go we went to beverly hills mbz dealership for oil service and we show that problem to the advisor hi sad its nothing wrong and if we wont to clean that it will cost us $150. 00 I say no on the 24 cristmas eve was rain and the car die so I call the dealirship for that and they sand a tow truck when the tow truck came hi told me that for the last week hi tow 3 cars with same problem and the car considure to be a total lost because all the computers got shortage.
I was in an automated car wash and the car was in park. When the wash was complete, I put the car in drive, but it would not moved forward. The proximity sensors kept sounding though there was nothing in the way. After shifting it in and out of gear, turning the steering when back and forth and pushing the accelerator to the floor for several minutes, the car finally shot forward out of the wash bay. I later called the in-car customer service line and they said that sometime the sensors get covered with the products used in the car wash.
Contact states that it is difficult to see above or around the side view mirrors before a making a turn, specifically a left turn. Contact says drivers seat has been raised to the highest position.
Very weak backup camera warning signal.
Roof spoiler was replaced under recall 17v246, but had flown off numerous times. Roof spoiler was reattached but had flown off after 500 miles of driving. The roof spoiler started to banging against the rear windshield until it flew off driving at about 60 mph on a the highway. The spoiler flew off hitting another vehicle. This is a very big safety hazard as it can strike and kill.
Car completely shut down going 60 mph on a main road.
The car caught on fire after it being in service at the dealership. The car was sent to the car dealership 3 times because the auto start was not working properly. The car would just stop and could not turn back on so I had to get it towed 3 times. . . . . . After the last time it caught on fire with the passenger inside the car. . . . . Passenger is ok did not get hurt but it was a very traumatizing experience. The car is now a total loss and I'm still waiting on the dealership to investigate the fire and to pay for the car.
Panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded while driving on freeway.
Rear radar not working so no warning of pedestrians or vehicles. There is no detectable noise to warn operator. Service mangrove ar bonita mercedes of FL. Says he could drill some holes in CA?. ?? have almost been struck several times, this must be a system problem the way the are avoiding. Very dangerous.
The sunroof for my 2017 mercedes E300 just spontaneously shattered while driving. I was driving straight ahead around 50 mph on a highway on a rainy day, with no one immediately in front of me when I hear a loud noise that startled me. I didn't know what had happened until I heard wind noise from outside and realized the sunroof had shattered. Once I was able to safely pull over, I realized that the there was a huge hole in my sunroof and it seemed to have originate from inside, as the glass was pushed outward. With no cars in front of me, driving on a stretch of highway with no overpass, I suspect that the glass or car had a defect and shattered on its own. It was a scary incident that could have been much worse. Fortunately, no one was injured. The cause for the incident is unknown since there were no rocks or other foreign object that was near that could have specifically hit the sunroof with doing no other damage to the vehicle.
