Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2015 Mercedes Benz GLK350

Takata recall. The defect in the passenger-side frontal airbag inflator may cause the inflator to explode when deployed. Nothing has been done to address this problem. The Mercedes Benz dealerships tell me the issue is "pending" and parts are not available. The car is four years old. When will parts be available?.

Takata inflators - I received a letter of the recall date Feb 2019. I called the mercedes dealer direct April 17, 2019 and they claimed they don't have the part and would send me a letter when one comes in. However, I have learned others who purchased cars after my purchase have had theirs replaced. I have great concern since my airbag indicator sometimes generates a warning. This replacement is long over due. . .
