On 20th December, while driving on the highway about 30 miles from columbus, ohio my 2013 mercedez benz Ml350 suddenly stalled and lost power. There was no prior warning. Luckily, we were in the outer lane with no car close behind us so my husband slowly guided the car to the side road. The car has since been towed and is currently at the service department at mercedez benz of north olmsted, ohio, 44070, for repairs. I have been informed by the service manager that they have identified the fuel pump to the problem and that it needs to be replaced. Coincidentally, this vehicle went for maintenace servicing at the same dealership and was returned to me on Monday December 16th. No problem with the fuel pump was identified or reported to me. This vehicle is available for inspection about 4 years ago, the exact same incident happened with this same vehicle where it suddenly stalled and completely lost power on the highway in the middle of nowhere on our way from ohio to iowa. There was no prior warning. Similarly, the car was towed to mercedez benz north olmsted but per the same service manager their inspection revealed no problem and the car restarted on its own so nothing needed to be fixed. I am reporting this recurring problem with my vehicle because of the obvious safety risk of sudden stalling and power loss on the highway, the fact that 4 years ago when this happened mercedez benz should have recognized what the issue was and replaced the fuel pump but did nothing about it, and also due to the fact that many mercedez benz vehicles have experienced this same problem leading to multiple recalls including many 2013 ml 350s. I believe my vehicle has a defective fuel pump from the manufacturer just like the recalled vehicles and that my vehicle and many more need to be recalled.

My vehicle jerks back and forth at low acceleration, and it often goes into limp mode which makes the vehicle only drive at around 20 mph at most. I was on the highway, when this happened. I have a 722. 9 transmission, and this is a common problem. Why is the snapping recalled? I have had a checked with mercedes-benz of music city when I had gotten my recall work done, and they said that it just needs a whole new transmission. They said that they had never seen an issue like this. They want $16,000. I have been reading and reading and reading I don't know how they have not seen the issue when it's very very common. Again my question is, why has this not been recalled? there are soldering issues for a speed solenoid sensor, and the tcu it makes it go bad. What is going on, and why has this issue not been addressed? I have two toddlers that I drive in my vehicle every single day. God forbid we're not so lucky next time. The only reason why we did not get hit this time, is because we were on the highway at a slow hour of the day. My son is disabled and we are on the highway and in the car a whole lot. If this happens during rush hour, we will be no doubt smacked into by another vehicle.

I bought my vehicle into Mercedes Benz for a recall related to water collection in spare tire well which can cause a fuel pump control malfunction, NHTSA recall # 22v955. A few days ago, my vehicle could not start and I found water in my spare tire well. My obd scanner tells me it is related to the fuel pump. I informed Mercedes Benz and they would not fix it. Obviously the work performed did not correct the recall. I'm writing here hoping I can get connected to the right channel to get this resolved as my vehicle is currently unusable. Thanks.

I stopped to get gas at a club store & left on a full tank. Right after leaving the pump I pulled aside in the parking lot to get situated and after turning on the heater I began to drive away and then I started smelling something weird about the same time I noticed a thin cloud of white smoke and I was looking around to see where it was coming from and then I saw more smoke coming up from behind my glove box and then I was looking for a place to move my car away from others and parked it, turned it off and dialed 911. My car my 2013 Mercedes Benz ml 350 started burning up less than 30 minutes after school drop off!!!! there was no warning light or warning beeping sound. Nothing! just smoke and fire. This just happened 5 days ago and no inspection as yet but my auto insurance company was notified. I could have died. Thank god I was not on the freeway.

The center console box will jot close. I have researched and this is a common problem with this car. You can not just replace the closure part it requires a whole new box. This is at a cost of 400. 00plus dollars. This is obviously a defect.

Oem jack failed without warning. No injuries but it could have been bad. Car got stuck and spinning wheels dug into a region of hard packed snow over a gravel driveway at my father's house. I was using the jack to lift the wheels out of their holes so I could fill the hole with chunks of wood. To spread the load on the snow the base of the jack was on a roughly 10" long piece of 2x4, which was placed on a roughly 8x10 inch piece of plywood. Jack worked fine for the first 2 wheels. On the 3rd wheel the "thrust washer" that transfers force from the nut that rides on the main screw, to the hinged arm which picks up the car, split in half without warning. This resulted in a sudden and complete failure of the jack, dropping the car back to it's starting position.

I am writing in regards to my 2014 ml 350 SUV. The check engine light came on and upon taking it to the mercedes dealership, I was told the issue is that the camshaft adjusters have failed and need to be replaced. The cost quoted is over $11,000 to repair. Upon further investigation I found reports on multiple lawsuits for the mercedes c series for the same year (2012-2014) that resulted also in a recall whereby customers were given a recall to replace at no charge the camshaft adjusters up to 120k miles. My car only has 83k and I am told by two independent mechanics that the camshaft adjuster should not be failing like this and that this has been an ongoing issue with mercedes. The safety issue is that I am told by independent mechanics that what could happen over time is that I could be driving and the entire engine/power just shuts off. This could even happen at high speeds on the highway. The mercedes dealer tells me there is no safety issues that could result from camshaft adjuster problems which doesn't appear to be true as per the other independent mechanics. I request further investigation into this issue because as per the independent mechanics its the "same engine" as the 2012-2014 that are under the recall . I'm requesting a recall on this for my car that mercedes pays for. This should not be failing especially in a car with only 83k on it . If the c series 2012-2014 received recall on this part then I also think my ml 350 should be covered. Mercedes customer service tells me they cannot pay for the repair, they said I could file complaint for recall through NHTSA thank you .

My viechle is loss of propulsion without warning on the freeway last week on a raining day. After brought the car to west covina dealer inspected the car is leaking water that has entered the spare wheel well, the accumulated water could intermittently contact the fuel pump control unit caused loss propulsion. And there are some circuit boards and wires damaged due to a water leak and not drive able. The west covina mb dealer is refuse to fix until mbusa responsible for the cost. Please help what other option we have about this issue?.

There is a recall for this significant safety risk. I contacted my local Mercedes Benz about recall remedy on 6 January 2023 and they confirmed the recall and said mb would issue steps to get this taken care of in the beginning of February. It is now 18 February 2023 and this has not happened and I have received no communication from mb and yet the safety risk still exists and could be life threatening.

My wife was driving home from shopping and noticed an accumulation of dust on the rear window. She used the rear wiper to clean it but it came right back, she repeated twice and gave up. Approx 3-4 miles later she heard a pop and red lights came on the dash, when she pulled over ASAP in a safe spot smoke started coming from under the hood. She shut the engine off and tried to exit the car to find the hood release under the dash but there was fire coming out from under the car. She closed the door, grabbed her purse and cell phone and got out quickly as possible, burning her ankle and singing her long skirt. She got approx 50 feet away, looked back and the entire car was ablaze, centered mid vehicle, as well as 4-5 spot fires along the road she had just traveled. Previous to the pop the car was driving, steering, and braking normally, no warning lights of any kind. Visiting the site the next day revealed sound deadening/insulation material in and along side the roadway for 2-300 yards as well as dripping molten aluminum, corresponding to the area traveled after she first heard the pop. The vehicle had extensive repairs of cascading failing emissions system components only 7-9 months earlier, culminating with 42 days at mercedes san rafael where one component after another failed and was replaced. Myself and all knowledgeable persons I talk to assume it was an overheated catalytic converter that caused the problem. So far mercedes has not been aggressive I trying to determine the cause. I've hired a forensic company and a joint inspection is pending. Cal fire was able to contain the vegetation fire started by the vehicle at 85 acres, known as the veteran's fire-igo as it occurred near the veteran's cemetery, using multiple fire engines, bulldozers, helicopters and a boride bomber. We are thankful she was alone in the car at the time without grandchildren buckled into car seats in the back or the results surely would have been much more tragic.

Campaign no. 2012070002 sb-10048279-4718 same solenoid leaking issue onto wiring harness for my 2014 mercedes Ml350 need this to be initiated because mercedes is at fault for not fixing this issue in 2006-2012 now still issue in 2014.

Since my significant others and I purchased this 2006 Mercedes Benz SUV - ml-350, over three months ago, we were wondering why the "engine check light was always on" so we purchased (4) sensors and replaced the sensors of where obd tests pointed out for the engine, deleted the engine check light several times but it will go back on after we driven it for another 50 to 100 miles away to normal highways and freeways driving to relearn the computer system and the check engine light on again and again but not blinking? we called our friendly mechanics and he said it maybe faults recalled that part of the electronics or maybe the computer is giving that "engine check" light on because it has some safety components is malfunctioning, the braking is also hard and sometimes it is too soft when I push it with my right foot to stop the car and also the car is using too much gas. So, we kept postponement of bringing this car to the dealership for repairs because we cannot afford the repairs. Then today, I check to my email and I see the recall email from NHTSA about mb - ml-350 / recall number 2022050015 / NHTSA # 22v315, since we cannot smog check it because of the "engine check on" it is always on we were puzzled why this light and this car cost too much to use and sometimes hard and sometimes soft to push on it's braking power? please let us know on what to do next? shall we call the mb-dealerships to tow this car to their shop because we have stop using this car about over (3) months ago since we bought it ? braking system is sometimes is too hard and sometimes too soft and using too much gas and the "engine check is always on " even we have replaced the (4) electronic sensors that the obd machine pointed out but is still doing the same thing. Please advise us of what to do to resolve these operational safety of our 2006 - ml-350 Mercedes Benz, it is stored in our car garage. The rear reverse camera also stops working and it is saying braking lights are not functioning?.

Other that other 2014 Ml350 have a recall for oil leaking from the reserve. Seems like my vehicle is affected by this issue as well, oil leak when low.

Before the incident my mercedes started to pull away from me each time I attempted to press the brakes. At times the when I would press the brakes nothing would happen at all as if I wasn’t pressing them at all. Well on the night of February 18,2022 I was coming around a curb and when I went to press the brakes, my mercedes began to sway slightly but the brakes never kicked in. The result of the incident totaled my vehicle, took out two transformers and a light pole, and costed me a careless operation ticket, the storage and towing of the vehicle from the incident, to the tow yard, then back home, as well as paying the ticket and having to pay the dmv. There is still an unknown amount due to demco (the energy company) for the light pole, two transformers, after hours workers and the actual worked and labor they performed. The recall flyers hadn’t been mailed out until a few months after the wreck so I had no knowledge of the issues happening nor the fact that driving the vehicle could be detrimental.

Warning sign comes up : blind spot assist inoperative . When the warning sign comes up the right and left blind spots in the mirror remain light up and also I am not able to signal to change lines . These happened already 3 times over past 3 months and lasts for hours while on the highway . I try to stop at the side of the highway , turn the car off and on still won't work for some time . I have taken videos of these happening .

Driving on the highway 3o3 surprise az 85388 time to 2:15 pm April 1, 2020 the sunroof on my 2013 Mercedes Benz ml 350 sunroof blow up like somebody shot a gun good thing I had the lid closed and the glass didn't fell on my face otherwise it would've been a disaster.

I was driving the the vehicle on 12/26/2019. Thevehicle suddenly started acclerating and I could not stop the vehicle and ended up crashing into the front of a commercial establishment. I was lucky that I wasn't injured seriously and none of the other people inside were hurt badly there was extensive damage to the vehicle and it was totaled as per the insurance company. There was extensive damage to the commercial establishment not to mention the loss of income.

In my neighborhood approaching a stop sign about 20 yards away. The car all of a sudden accelerated at a high rate of speed. I was going too fast to make the right turn and the brakes did not stop the car. I ended up running through the stop sign up an incline and into the woods hitting multiple trees before coming to a stop. This caused over $18,000 damage to the vehicle (not including damage to the under carriage). Not only was this pretty frightening but what could have happened if I wasn't in my neighborhood when this took place could have killed somebody. It really shook me up. Thank goodness there were no kids at the bus stop. I was also surprised that the air bags did not deploy. The insurance company totaled the car so no one really seems too concerned about the cause of the unintended acceleration that totaled my car while driving in my own neighborhood! this should not have happened. I hope someone will care enough to try and determine what happened so this doesn't happen to someone else.

Vehicle will not crank/start intermittently key turns in the ignition but nothing happens. Front door on the right and left will not operate and have to push down locks in order for vehicle to lock and prevent vehicle/ property theft.

Strong gas odor, car was unsafe to drive could potentially cause fire. The was in motion, the odor kept getting stronger as I drove the car. Once the car was stationary, the order started to go away. The issue was specially strong when the ac was turned on. It was hard to breathe when riding in the car. The issue was when ever the car was in motion in city street and in the highway.

Defective design of the ac unit prevents proper and normal draining of condensation results in mold and foul sour smell. Passengers are forced to breath moldy air.

I read that there have been 3-4 recalls on my mercedes which we bought brand new and I have never received notifications.

I just purchased a 2006 mercedes Ml350. Ive had problems opening the trunk and the upper left and right brake lights do not work. Bulbs were replaced and still they're not working. Bulb contacts are known to burn up causing a needed update for the tail/brake lamp wiring repair harness and bulb sockets. Found a forum where a technician is aware of this issue with this vehicle. Rear tailgate opened without being operated as I was entering garage. Rear window hit garage trim and broke. This had happened before driving down the street.

Driver side front door and driver side back door do not unlock or lock. You have to manually unlock and lock.

After pulling out of my driveway and drive less than 1000 ft the car filled with smoke turned in flames and fire and then burnt to the ground. Mbz did an inspection and informed me there was no fault with the vehicle. They refuted and denied everything I told them and stated they had no evidence of anything I described. They refused to tell me how the fire started. They would show me the report, the fuse boxes appeared to be melted yet they said they were intact and did not cause the fire. So it must have been and act of god? the would not pay any medical bills nor replace the vehicle. It was on a city street, fire and police came.

No light or warning alarm if tailgate is open. You may drive car with no light on dashboard indicating that tailgate is open. May crash tailgate and break the glass if drive into a garage. Drove car into garage to park and crashed the tailgate.

Tailgate opens without being activated. When backing of garage tailgate came open and hit garagedoor opening, causing sheetmetal to bend. This has happened several times.

Sunroof exploding - was driving on the freeway at around 70mph when I heard a loud bang. I could tell it came from above and could tell the sunroof had shattered. I came to a safe stop to inspect and my suspicions were proven right. It happened suddenly without any warning. There were no trucks near me. Neither was I driving under an overpass. There was no impact from anything. I have attached a photo of the damage. I called the dealer (Mercedes Benz of houston north) and they have told me that they were sorry to hear that and that I would have to pay $200 just to get my car inspected (not even repaired). Very frustrated at the moment.

1. It was on I-15 highway north bound around 9:44 am, 2/1/2018. 2. This vehicle suddenly lost power and applied brake by itself ! that resulted in drastically speed drop in a very short time. I tried to gas it and I can feel engine is still running, but speed was kept dropping. 3. I almost hit by the cars behind me during the time I tried to pull over to road side. 4. When I fully stopped on I-15 road side, engine is still responsive (rpm can go up), but the car can't move forward. I tried to release brake with transmission still in "d", it's funny that this vehicle started to move backward (it was a uphill section). 5. Finally, I turned off engine and restarted it, the car was restored in "normal" state. Just like nothing happened. How ironic it is ! 6. There are no warning/error lights on !!! 7. This car is already in dealer for 2 weeks and they still can't find the root cause. I strongly believe that there could be design flaws. This time me and those drivers behind me were just lucky, there was not a serious accident happened. Something need to be done before someone is killed by this issue. 8. Also, the time zoom of dash cam is not properly set. The time shown on this video is actually 16 hours ahead of the local time. But it is not a big deal here. 10. At 42 sec of this video, you can see the speed is suddenly dropped and can also hear tire squeezing sound (car applied brake by itself). 11. This car can't move forward by the engine at (1'52" ~ 1'55"), (2'34" ~ 2'37") and (2'54" ~ 2'57"). 12. With transmission is still in "d" and brake released, the car moved backward because it was on a uphill section (2'23" ~ 2'30").
