Three problems related to check engine light on have been reported for the 2007 Mercedes Benz R350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Check engine light came up. Car cannot accelerate beyond ~30 mph even with high rev.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 mercedes-benz R350. The contact stated that the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where the dealer stated that the engine was operating at half power and that the down shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure and current mileages were 51,000. Mah.
The check engine light came on and soon the car began to have trouble starting. I then began sputtering while driving. Mercedes dealer informed us that the balance shaft had failed and needed to be replaced. This repair would cost close to $6,000. I have seen that this is a very common complaint, almost as if it is to be expected. I also see that there is a class action lawsuit that was filed in 2010. This poses a safety problem when I drive my children, and I cannot afford to pay the repair bill.
