One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There's a rattling noise from within the passenger side airbag. Consumer is afraid that this can cause the air bag not to deploy in an accident. The cause of noise is yet to be determined.
