One problem related to tank filler pipe and cap has been reported for the 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle stalls, mostly while making turns at slow speeds. Dealer feels cause is overfilling of fuel filler neck. Dealer replaced filler pipe, however consumer states vehicle is still stalling.
