Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Mercury mariner. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph, a vibration started on the steering wheel. A month later the vehicle steering ability had become very hard and the power steering failure populated on the message center. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnosis. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle was repaired under recall number: 14v284000 (steering) back in April 10th 2015. The vehicle was not repaired this time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. Bp.
The contact owns a 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. The contact stated that the steering wheel seized and the power steering indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the power steering torque sensor failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 58,000.
