1 Power Steering Failed problem

Failure Date: 10/24/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. While driving approximately 25 mph, the power steering failed without warning and the steering became difficult to turn. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v284000 (steering). Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

Failure Date: 09/27/2018

Electronic power steering module failure, replace entire module & column for $1698. 89. Said previous recall was performed and Ford bears no responsibility.

3 Power Steering Failed problem

Failure Date: 01/12/2017

While making a sharp left turn on a city street the power steering assist system failed completely! I barely avoided a collision. Apparently there have been thousands of similar failures. Why hasn't Ford paid for a repair on a system which is obviously flawed and dangerous when it fails!.
