Dt keyless entry pad caught on fire,vehicle was in garage could spell smoke, had to disconnect the battery. Contacted the dealer said there is no recall, contacted the manufacturer said they couldn't do anything cause the vehicle is no longer under warranty. Water can get down in the switch and combination of age can create a problem. There should be a solid cover over this.
While driving the entire dashboard failed along with the air conditioning and interior dome light. The dealer diagnosed that an electrical short was the cause of the problem.
Driver parked vehicle and turned it off. Later returning and trying to start vehicle failed to start. Ignition had locked up steering wheel, and was unable shift out of park. A police person stated problem might be relay switch. Please provide any further information.
