Warning Light On problems of the 2007 Mercury Milan

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The olathe Ford dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. In addition, the contact also took the vehicle to get the air bag warning indicator inspected at lindan auto where the technician stated the air bag warning light being on was attributed to the takata recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,456. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
