Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2009 Mercury Milan

Takata airgab inflator safety recall: for over 1 year, there has been recall 16v-384 with no parts available. Now, the company that manufactures the parts are bankrupt. Multiple people have lost their lives due to this issue. What additional steps will be taken to correct this?.

Takata recall. I have waited over a year now, and Ford still does not have the parts to replace my potentially lethal passenger side airbag inflator, nor do they (as of 7/6/2017) even have a projected date the part/s will be available. This is unconscionable.

Takata recall - my only complaint is that I cannot get the problem fixed with a dealer because they don't have the passenger airbag inflator replacement. The airbag has not gone off as yet.

I received the attached recall notice in July 2016 from Ford motor company concerning a defective airbag inflator. To date, I have not received any further notification from Ford motor company about the availability of the part and instructions on what to do in order to remedy this dangerous condition. I have contacted the Ford dealership, auto nation in marietta, georgia, a number of times to determine the status of this and have been told that the part is not yet available. Considering the dangerous condition that they describe in the recall notice, I certainly think that this has dragged on much too long, and I am extremely concerned about the danger of death or severe injury.
