Unknown when air temperature drops below 50 degrees radio console does not function. Display is locked with only the words "Mercury Milan". Now the electrical system is not functioning. I know it isn't the battery- I had it replaced within the past 4 months.

I have a 2010 Mercury Milan premier thats power steering went out I found out the part has been recalled on the 2011 model but not the 2010 model and it's the same exact part so now the 2011 has been recalled but not the 2010 and I'm out over 600 dollars + to fix it.
I have a safety recall I did a yr ago at Ford dealership in hazelwood at saint louis mo I’m reporting them because they never fixed my recall I waited for my part for a while and I believe they never put it on now my abs is getting worse and I need a recall to be fixed right.

Power steering fault. Steering wheel locks up.
Oct 2019 I went to my dealer to have a tire pressure sensor replaced due to a warning message. The sensor was replaced but the warning message remained. The mechanic did further checking and said I needed a Smart junction box which can affect many things such as lights turn signals heat seat belts etc. Ford said they could not repair my car because they could not get this part. I recently inquired if it was available and there is still no eta for this part. I had to pay them up front even though none are available. Is there a way that you can get this part expedited at Ford or issue a recall as it affects warnings and safety components. This part has to be programmed by the dealer so I do not think a salvage yard part is feasible not really sure.
Driving and steering fault showed on dash. Steering failed became dangerous to control vehicle.
The passenger rear tail light has gone out on my 2010 Mercury Milan hybrid. Just had the left one replaced 5 months ago to the tune of $900 and the dealership is asking for the same for this one. Seriously, a $900 tail light?.
For years I have sporadically gotten a "power steering sensor fault" displayed when I would start the car. You could barely turn the steering wheel. In searching the owner's manual, owners are advised to turn off the ignition, wait briefly then restart the car (how this issue got into the owner's manual and could not be addressed and eliminated, I don't understand). This would correct the fault and the power steering would function normally. Fortunately it never happened while driving. In the last week this display was occurring more frequently until on 5/16/21 it would not go away and I could not drive the car. Today, 5/20/21 I got it towed to the local Ford dealer. The situation will probably not be diagnosed until next week. From reading everything on the internet, this is a routine safety concern, and a recall for the control module has been issued on the 2011-2015 Milan models. Unfortunately my car is 2010 and is not included in the recall. Aren't we talking about an identical control module as to those that have been recalled?? then why wouldn't the NHTSA not be concerned about this very similar safety issue??!! I'm thankful this didn't happed to me while driving!.
Power steering hydraulic locked on me twice while driving first time I was on express way and hit wall 2nd time I knew what was about to happen and of course steering locked and I almost crashed again this needs to be addressed because my research shows me folks have died from this but because it's not enough deaths it won't be recalled this is crazy why recall 2011 that has same part and not 2010.
I was driving the short distance home when my vehicle began to shake back and forth. The error light came on stating that the power steering needed to be checked. When I turned off the car and turned it back on, the car no longer allowed the power steering to drive. The electric rack and pinion for my 2010 Mercury Milan needs to be replaced. There have been several recalls for the same problem with other Mercury Milans but my particular car does not have the same recall even with the same occurance.
Driving on parkway in huntsville alabama when the power steering default light come on and couldn't steer it at all and memorial parkway is always very busy. Couldn't even get in a turning lane to get off of the parkway. Took me two hrs to drive 10 miles and finally got it into the parking lot at the maintenance shop. Like to have never got it to a shop. Imagine a 72 yr old elderly lady trying to enter the parking lot of a maintenance shop. I really need some help to replace a power steering.
The car stalled on the highway, started up. About a mile later it stalled again. . . No warning lights came on. . . Then combusted into flames and burnt to the ground.
Air bag is coming apart it looks like it's about to deploy. Brakes keep freezing up. When it's cold outside and when it's hot outside. Changed cold and spark plugs both times spark plugs and coils were burnt at the end and some type of gook was on the ends that both shops said they never saw before.

Left rear brake light. It works part of the time and then it does not work. Stopped several times for it not working, then it would start. Not the entire brake light is out. Part of it still lights up. This has been happening since I bought the car used about 4 years ago.
Had air bag replace April 8 2019 recall. But air bag icon stays on. Dealer who did work wouldn't fix. Saying it's not part of recall. So how do I known this new air bag working properly.
Issue with driver seat power switch/motor. Driver seat only moves back not forward making it difficult to reach pedals.
I was putting my car in park and the lights flickered a few times the car lock and unlocked a several times. I cut the car off and when I tired to open the door I count open it or let the windows down. No windows or doors would open. I waited 5 to 10 minutes. I turned the car own and all the doors and windows worked except drivers door. Unable to open drivers door from inside. I have to rule down window to open driver door.
I was in motion merging onto a two lane highway. I ran over two consecutive manhole covers while lightly braking to see if it was clear. But when I went to brake because it wasn't clear to merge onto the highway I had barely any brake! thankfully the car in front of me was able to merge or I would have hit him. After that I had a very soft brake pedal. Left it in a parking lot until after work. So hours later, the brakes seemed fine. But I didn't trust it. Had it towed and Ford told me it was the abs hcu and ecu and that they are known for this problem. Especially after traveling on a rough roadway. I had to go back to the road the next day because I couldn't remember it being a rough road. Then I saw the two consecutive manhole covers. I ran them over in my husbands truck and sure enough, even his truck jolted from them, enough for the abs to engage. This is a horrible issue and I'm amazed that Ford has not made it a recall yet! what will it take!? the repair was quite expensive. And I was out of a car for two whole weeks! it took almost a week for the part to come in. Not sure if that was the dealers bs or Ford not having the parts readily available for an issue they already know exists. This has not been my first Ford product but it sure may be my last!.
I was driving in town at around 30mph. My abs warning light came on. The car started making a strange noise. Then when breaking the back breaks seemed to be trying to lock up. Then the passenger airbag warning light came on. After this happened all my gauges including my speedometer, blinkers, headlights, rpm, etc. Became inoperable. I am not able to drive the car at all due to this issue.
Rear passenger side tail light stays illuminated even while brake paddle is engaged. . . Basically I have no brake lights. . . Also fuel recalls still hasnt been done on my vehicle.
I was driving about 45 mph on a city street, when the car just shut down. I tried to give it gas, nothing happened. Steering wheel locked up. I still had power to the radio and lights but the car went limp. I was barley able to turn it into a parking lot for safety because the steering wheel locked up. I turned off the car waited a few minutes and started it back up with no problems. I am lucky I wasn't in traffic, because this would have caused an accident, it went from 45 mph to nothing in seconds.

The contact owns a 2008 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 17v024000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the recall notification in March of 2017. The manufacturer stated that the part was not available for repair. The contact also stated that the front passenger air bag was exposed due to a fractured dashboard at the front passenger air bag area due to the air bag failure. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle stalled due to the air bag electrical system. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled due to the air bag electrical system. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or a local mechanic for diagnostic testing. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that there was a sudden loss of power while driving highway speeds. The engine stalled and the contact was able to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was scheduled for an appointment with the dealer. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the vehicle was included in a customer service program concerning the electric throttle body replacement. The contact was uncertain if the voluntary service campaign from the manufacturer would provide a solution. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
The vehicle lost control of power steering. Now displays service power steering now. I noticed that there has been a recall on other 2011 Mercury Milans, but not mine. This seems very unsafe, and not an affordable fix. This issue needs to be repaired on multiply Ford vehicles. I could cause loss of control.

When driving and a pothole is struck, brakes go out completely for a few seconds. As a whole, the brakes now operate at only approx. 25% effectiveness. The issue was confirmed to be related to the hydraulic control unit (hcu) by allstate insurance CO. , woltz and wind Ford (local dealer), and apex autobody (local autobody).
A few weeks ago, I had a hard time steering my car at an intersection. When I tried steering, the car would shake as I turned. Although the roads were wet, my tires are relatively new, so I new it wasn't the traction. I turned off the electronic steering assistance and it started turning again. A few days ago, I was turning, the roads were damp, but not wet and I had my steering assist on (it goes on by default). When I tuned, the car went the opposite way of the direction I was turning. I had to turn off my steering assist in order to regain control of my car. There were no alarms, notice or alerts on my control panel. Also, when it's been a hot day or a cold day, the car won't start.
Extended braking distance this is now the second time this has happened to my car, the first time was last winter. It was a little slippery on the roads so I was not at all going fast, coming to a stop sign in my neighborhood braking, the antilock brakes kicked in, made a little noise, I stopped and then went on my way. The next time I came to stop after that I could barely stop and had to press my foot to the floor to do so. It was like it wanted to stop at the normal time but then released a little to have my foot go all the way down to then stop. I took it to the local neighborhood auto place, and they didn't know what it could be but they bleed the brakes and did something else that actually fixed it. Fast forward to this year December, same thing, turning into a store parking lot, so again going slow, slippery out, anti lock brakes kick in. I didn't think anything of it because the car had been fixed last year. However, when I went to park I almost crashed right into the front of the store because I was not prepared to not stop on time. I was able to stop finally, scared to death. Took it back to the same place they still can't figure it out and tried what they did last time but it didn't work. Around this same time I came across the article about the investigative recall about this very issue, forwarded it to the Lincoln Mercury dealership I got my car from and was told yes they know what it is and have had to repair several already this winter but since it is not an actual recall I would have to pay to get it fixed. It involves the hci (hydrolic control unit) and eci (electrical control unit). So now I'm stuck, still scared until this recall happens or until I can come up with the $900+ they say it will cost.
Electronic throttle body (etb) indicator is illuminated. I have a sudden loss of power while driving, my accelerator stops working or has extremely limited power, and my engine idles roughly.
Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that the transmission wrench icon remained illuminated for months. The dealer (natchez Ford Lincoln, 14 sgt prentiss dr, natchez, ms 39120, (601) 445-0076) refused to provide a solution and suggested that the vehicle be diagnosed and repaired. The contact stated that there was a remedy for an unknown transmission recall that was not performed on the vehicle; however, the dealer and the manufacturer indicated that the vehicle was previously repaired per the recall. In addition, the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags). The dealer stated that parts were unavailable. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Took car in to Ford dealer for servicing per recall 15s34 on 4/27/16. Dealer notified me that brake lights are; ". . . . Stuck on when parking lights or headlights are on -- they work if headlights are off . . . . ". (see noughton Ford aurora, CO invoice # focs418452). This is a hazard!!!!!.
January 15 2016 I was driving my 2010 milian, went to make a left turn and my steering went out, then my dashboard lit up saying service power steering and advance trac system needs attention, then my passenger front tire blew. Ive seen where the 2011 milian has had a recall on this same issue that my 2010 milian is now having, I havent been able to drive my car since January and I still have 3 years of payments on a car I can't drive. So please send out a recall notice for the 2010 milian so I can start driving my car again.
This complaint is similar to NHTSA id number: 10543085. 08 Mercury Milan with 3. 0l 139,226 miles started missing and bucking while driving 60 mph on the highway. Took car to the local Ford dealer who told me that coil on plug #4 (cop) was melted and had fried the vehicles pcm. The Ford dealer quoted me $2,630. 70 for the repair. He told me this issue was common and known by Ford. I can see how a cop can go bad after 139,226 miles, but I have a hard time with a cop melting and sending some sort spark back to the pcm and destroying a $700 part. Terrible engineering practice Ford. In order for the cop to melt to a point such that it did, it would had to be close to starting an engine fire. That would be very bad indeed. This could have even cause a lose of control at highway speeds. You do the math the result of that. Not good. I also find it hard to believe that there has been no recall for this issue.
I got into the car with my one month old granddaughter and her mom and my son, the car hesitated to start, got on the expressway and tried to pick up speed and the car goes only to 55 speed and it don't pick up so I had to get off the expressway with my family because the car wasn't acting right, . Then the next thing I know the check engine light came on and the airbag came on and that tool bar on the left hand side of the dash board came on. As well as the check engine light, this is a 2006 Mercury Milan premier , I heard a lot of clicking while I was driving back home, when I tried to turn the car hesitate and another car almost hit me and my family and one month old granddaughter. I reach out to Ford and was told that they didn't have any recall in the system for my car . I don't know what to do this is so wrong , these are some of the codes that has come on the car as well p0403, p0161,p0155,p0141,p0135,p0102, p0020,p0010,p0179,p1489,p0443.
The tail light assembly burned out after an unusually short period of time, they are led type and lasted only 5 years. Led's with this short life span should be considered defective as there are numerious incidents being reported about this problem.
Driver's side brake light stays illuminated all the time while vehicle is on and while driving, instead of only turning on when brake is pressed down. In November I noticed the driver's side brake light begin to flicker while parked. Since it is a malfunction with the led lights, the entire brake light housing would have to be replaced, a roughly $410 repair. For as often as I have seen other 2011 Mercury Milan owners complain about this, you would think this would have been recalled already. I have been told the brake light constantly staying on is distracting and very bright to other drivers behind me.
