Four problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1998 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Air bag light will intermittently illuminate from time to time. Contacted dealer and the dealer was not willing to do anything. Consumer states that this problem has been fixed twice.
Airbag light intermittently comes off and on. Contacted dealer.
Had air bag sensor replaced through a recall notice and the air bag light on the dash blinks periodicaly since the recall. Dealership states they cannot do anything to correct the problem.
The airbag light flashed. The consumer felt very unsafe driving the vehicle.
