One problem related to ball joint has been reported for the 1999 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was backing out of a parking space and when moving forward front suspension crashed to the ground, and the front of the vehicle collapsed, left front ball joints fell to the ground and broke the axle. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, and was told that warranty expired and there was nothing they could do.
