One problem related to front seat belt has been reported for the 1999 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front driver side seat belt was installed backwards. As a result seat belt twisted across the driver's chest instead of lying flat. Dealership refused to repair defect due to warranty issues.
