We had a small explosion in fuel injection area that shredded the air intake manifold. My wife was attempting to start the car at the time. There were no injuries and no visible fire damage, but it was very loud. The dealer was nice enough to give us a loaner for a week while they repaired the damage. Gas fumes/odor in passenger's compartment. Also, odor can be smelled around hood, and in engine compartment. Consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer noticed problem, and had replaced fuel injection system, problem still occurred. Dealer unsure what was causing problem.
