Two problems related to steering anti-theft device have been reported for the 1996 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Alarm system occasionally will lock and unlock withouth activation of system.
Owner states while driving and making a right turn the steering wheel locked up, resulting in an accident.
