Three problems related to suspension have been reported for the 1999 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle wonders and shakes at highway speeds.
While driving at any speed and when making turns either to left or right, vehicle will make noise inf ront and rear, like getting hit.
This vehicle has a very bad shake that is felt all through the vehicle and causes the steering to be difficult with it pulling back and forth. The dealer has reported that ll the vans of this make on his lot have this similar problem, however in contacting Ford they do not recognize this problem and feel that it is a severe shaking seat only. The van is dangerous to drive at highway speed of 75 as it pulls back and forth. We tried to tell them and so far we have been told that it is not a safety issue and pick up our van from the dealer as they have no fix. We know that it is not safe. We want Ford to fix this problem.
