Door Problems of Mercury Villager - part 2

Intermittently door locks open and close automatically. Dealer has inspected vehicle, and could not solve problem. Manufacturer has been notified.

Consumer state while traveling vehicle sliding door become unlock. Door indication light come on. Please provde further informatin.

Automatic door lock failed, when closing the right front door all the doors lock. Repairs were done on two occasions. Problem still exist.

Automatic door lock failed; continually locks all doors by itself.

Sliding door panel falls off, there is a spot on the door, and if one touches it the door pops open. Also tires are bald, and air bag light flashes.

The rear side door unlatches when going down the road. It doesn't unlatch all the way. The dealer has tried to adjust the door, but it still happens. We do not have to hit a bump for it to unlatch. They are going to put on a new door latch.

Automatiac door locks lock on their own, they do that when engine is running and when it is not.

Doors lock and unlock on their own. It happens intermittently; also, when pressing key pads to lock doors,and sometimes it will not lock. Please add VIN.

Power door lock is locking by itself,causing the consumer to be trapped within vehicle or locked outside vehicle. Dealer needs to replace door lock switch in door and a part within panel to correct defect.

Remote control for power door locks experience intermittent failure.

My electro-hydraulic door locks activate automatically upon departure or entry into vehicle. I can activate opening the doors with the clicker as I approach the vehicle and they will lock themselves before I can get to the vehicle. The locks activate upon my departure from the vhicle at times. If I forget to remove the keys from the ignition , I"m locked out. I also notice a sloshing sound coming from the right rear of the vehicle.

Design of the door locks activate when engine is running, motor must be shut off to open doors.

Door locks continually lock and unlock themselves wheter driving or parked.

This vehicle has been in to 3 different dealerships since we have had it (3 years). Door's will lock at any time running,off,or no keyless (key fob) opperation. After about $500 in repair charges I went to a different dealer only to find that a TSB had been issued and have it fixed now with replacing the master switch on the drivers side door. From talking to the sevice manager they have seen this problem on many vans like this, this is a small town dealer. To bad the other dealerships that we tried didn't keep up with the TSB's it took longer for resolution and the warranty is long gone. This problem has made the local news but they say that their has not been any reports of this problem so I thought that I would fill out this form.
