Tl- the contact owns 2005 Mini Cooper. The contact stated that her vehicle would intermittently lose power steering, the transmission was leaking fluid. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer stated the power steering pump and fan. The dealer also informed that the transmission would have to to be replaced. The power steering failure was repaired however, the transmission was not. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 64,200. Az.

2 Power Steering Fluid problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2014

My power steering completely stopped working while driving. It has been leaking fluid for months and had a slight steering resistance a month or so but was random and didn't continue. Now, it remains very difficult to drive at all times.

3 Power Steering Fluid problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Mini Cooper. The contact noticed an oil leak on the ground under the vehicle while parked in a residential driveway. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that power steering fluid was leaking. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where the mechanic replaced the power steering pump, steering hose, pressure hose, return hose, and the suction hose. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 54,000 and the current mileage was 61,400.
