Wheel Problems of Mini Cooper

I wrote to you before. My complaint number is/was:11559619. I never received a response from you. I explained in my previous complaint that I purchased a used car from carvana in August of 2022. I bought a 2013 Mini Cooper s. This car comes standard with run-flat tires. When I took possession of the car there were 4 brand new tires on it. I drove the car for a year or so, and got a flat tire one night. There is no spare in this car because there is no room for a spare. I was stranded on the side of a busy highway with non-run-flat tires and no spare because carvana replaced the standard run-flats with non-run-flat tires. I had no way of knowing this until I got a flat and found myself stranded on the side of the road, alone, at night. Carvana never informed me that the tires they put on the car were not run flat tires, and they did not provide me with any type of flat tire pump or anything like that. They sold me an unsafe car! I am still driving a car with no spare and non-run-flat tires all because carvana wanted to save a few bucks and figured I wouldn't find out until the 7-day or 30-day warranty had long ago expired. Carvana is guilty of selling an unsafe car. They know that the Mini Cooper comes with run flat tires and that there is no spare in the car, yet they didn't care and replaced the tires with cheaper non-run-flat tires. I have contacted carvana multiple times but they just tell me that since I didn't report this issue within the 7-day return window I'm out of luck. How would I have known the tires they put on the car before selling it were not standard tires until I had a flat tire! I am not able to schedule my flat tire so that it happens within their short warranty window. I have contact the states attorney general's office, the bbb, consumer affairs and eveyone tells me that they don't handle these types of complaints. I need you to help me get carvana to replace the unsafe equip they put on the car with safe tires! please!!.

I reported a few months ago that my power steering had failed. It is a 2005 Mini Cooper, and some 2002-2005 Mini Coopers were effected, but supposedly not my Mini with my VIN number. The recall had ended in February 2005 and my car was manufactured in April 2005. However I believe that BMW (makers of Mini Cooper) were using faulty power steering units after February 2005. My car has low miles, I am the original owner and I take pristine care of my Mini. As a result, I hit a curb and had to have the front left tire changed. The weather was clear, no rain and my tires are all just about brand new run flat tires. The range of Mini Coopers affected needs to increased. This is obviously a problem and BMW (makers of Mini Cooper) seem to not take it seriously. My power steering is a major safety issue and needs to be addressed ASAP.

The dash low tire air light suddenly came on; it comes on after driving for about 5 minuets. I've checked all tires and they are in compliance. I see that on-line blogs this is a major issue.

When driving 2 months ago,was driving with my mom 9/13/1015,all 4 milestar tires busted,dealer replaced them with charging me 150. 00 deduct,now same problem occured 11/25/2015,right passager same brand busted,now my car is in shop again missing work,stuck in fort myers right now,if it wasn't for my family I would not be here with these tires,the name of the tires mile-star.

?I was on the I-40 highway from gatlinburg to nashville. There was a hole on the highway. My car passed the hole then front right wheel became curved. Also, I have black box in my car. I can prove it. I need to change my wheel it takes more than 500 dollars.

I have heard from more then 3 dozen other individuals owning both the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper s ranging from years 2006 to 2010 that there have been problems regarding the air cv joint axel and/or power arm control a constant problem regarding the general module electronic component. This isn't just a coincidence and may end up being the cause of serious accidents if one or two of these components are defective. For this many consumers to be having the same issues, same sounds and revisited visits to Mini dealer shops around the globe something is not right and needs to be investigated. I know for one thing this control arm is a huge problem if it fails considering it's location could be the cause of many serious accidents and possible deaths depending on the speed and severity of the accident when it takes place. My vehicle is currently not on the road due to the severity of the noise and reaction to the vehicle when being operated and it is a scary thing. They want to charge a absurd amount of money to fix something that quite frankly may have been something recalled a long time ago, and wasn't because a lot of consumers are not aware of this process such as myself until recently when an attorney friend of mine started to dig around a bit after hearing my story and the stories of many others I have spoken too.

Power steering failed while I was driving the vehicle and I almost crashed.

The contact owns a 2009 Mini Cooper. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the tpms sensor warning light continuously illuminated. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.

I took the car to the dealer on 12/15/11 because the passanger airbag off light turned on when a passanger was seated. The light turned on again Jan 7, 2012. Here are the dealer's notes from the 12/15/11 visit: seat mat sensor oc3 recoding check fault memory no releating fault stored. Completed test plan b6577 acm4. Check connector to sensor ok. Test plan concuded to recode oc3. Updated vehicle. D6577 0000 57 310. Retest ok. At the same time the car also alerted to a tire inflation issue. Here are the dealer's notes regarding this issue (also 12/15/11): psi: tire inflation check set tires to 33psi.

I was driving my 2004 Mini Cooper on the highway from la to san diego. All of a sudden the power steering in my car evaporated and I almost hit the side of rail. The car would run but I could hardly steer it. I took it into a auto service center and they told me that it was the power steering pump. Several Mini Coopers have had this same problem. I contacted customer care for Mini Cooper and they told me I had to take it to a BMW/Mini dealership even though I have already got a diagnostic. The dealership is charging $145. 00 just to look at the car even though we already know what is wrong. They told me they could not tell me how long this would take to get resolved. There should be a recall on these cars and this part replace free of charge. In addition, I shouldn't have to wait for an unlimited amount of time to get my car fixed when this is clearly manufacturing defect in the car. I would like the dot to recall this car and make the part and service available free of charge.
