general problems of the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the contact hit pothole and lost control of the steering causing the vehicle to crash into the cement wall and another vehicle passing. No airbags deployed. The contact and passenger sustained injuries back and stomach (bruised). No other injuries sustanced from other driver. Medical attention was contacted but no further assistance was needed. A police report was made. The vehicle was driveable so the contact drove the vehicle to a lot and parked the vehicle. Travelers insurance was contacted and towed the vehicle back to the contact home and has started an investigation. The vehicle was deemed totoylted by the police officer. No dealer was contacted. No manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was unknown. Ck.

This failure continued until the vehicle is turned off. The contact also indicated that the seat belt and srs light is continuously illuminated in the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to dealer . The manufacture was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 25,040. Rg.

My car was hit by a driver who ran a red light when I was making a left hand turn. The point of impact was the passenger side front. The other driver hit me at approximately 60 mph. None of the airbags deployed. Thank god my seatbelts worked properly and I escaped the accident with very minor injuries. It is quite a concern the airbags failed. The accident happened yesterday and my insurance company feels it is a total loss. This severe of an accident should have triggered the air bags. I think an investigation should be conducted on 2007 airbags before someone gets killed.
