There was no warning light illuminated. The contact used the parking brake to slow down the vehicle. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer because the closest dealer was 2 hours away, and the brakes had failed. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign number: 15v337000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The contact had called the manufacturer and was advised to find a local independent mechanic, and the manufacturer would ship the parts needed to complete the recall repair. 4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/05/2016

I received a safety recall notice from Mitsubishi motors in July of 2015. The notice is regarding a defect with the antilock breaking system hydraulic unit. The letter says I will be notified when the parts are available. I have called the local Mitsubishi dealership and they say the parts are not reading I am still on a wait list. I received a safety recall notice in July of 2015. It is now five months later and they still haven't fixed the issue. My brake pedal sometimes doesn't work properly and makes a sucking sound when the pedal is released. I called Mitsubishi and they said to bring it to a dealership for a road test and that my brakes would be flushed and checked. I made an appointment with the dealership 50 miles away and was turned away upon arriving because they can't fix the problem. My car is unsafe and Mitsubishi will not fix it.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2015

The brakes on my vehicle are not working as they should. Abs system was recalled by Mitsubishi back in July, and they have yet to fix the problem. I have been very close to getting in to accidents due to the brakes not working properly, with my young son in the vehicle. When I spoke to Mitsubishi they informed me that the remedy is not yet available. I was also told that if I got the brakes fixed myself, there is the possibility that I would not get reimbursed. I would like to get this fixed immediately before the brakes give out all together but due to a fault of the manufacturer, I am not willing to put out my hard earned money and not get it back. My car does not stop as it should while driving. The brake peddle does not function correctly. Please fix this issue or point me in the right direction.

10 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/24/2015

For a month, I've noticed that my brake fluid level was decreasing rapidly and that I had to refill my brake fluid once a week. On 9/22/2015, suddenly my brake pedal had to go to the floor before I could start slowing down. I took my car to a mechanic on 9/24/2015. He said that my abs pump was leaking really bad and he cannot find/buy the part anywhere and that I had to take it to the dealership. I took it to a Mitsubishi dealership that same day and told them what I was experiencing and what I was told. They kept the car that day and ran tests and confirmed with me in the morning of 9/25/2015 that it was the abs pump, which is part of a recent recall. The service manager at the dealership told me that he would be in contact with their corporate office about what to do next to get my vehicle fixed and to give me a rental car in the mean time (I couldn't get to work on 9/24 or 9/25 because I live an hour from work). In the evening of 9/25, the service manager called me back and told me that the corporate office is not willing to provide a rental car because the recall didn't say anything about the abs pump "leaking". The recall only mentions the valves within the pump "sticking", and because of that, cannot determine yet if my car is included in the recall and that additional tests need to be done, so they won't provide me with a rental car yet. He gave me the phone number to Mitsubishi service center to try getting a rental car. I called in the morning of 9/28/2015 and the service center explained to me what I've already been told by the service manager at the dealership about the recall, but also that Mitsubishi doesn't provide loaner vehicles due to a recall but it is up to the individual dealership. I explained to them that I've now missed 3 days of work because of a faulty part they put in my car and I'm losing money. I need help with this situation.
