I got in my car to go somewhere, shut the door, and the sunroof completely shatters. I went to the dealership (an actual Mitsubishi dealership as opposed to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle which was a chevy dealership) where the manager said he had never heard of this and that it shouldn't be covered by warranty because if it were faulty glass then it would have happened much sooner. I responded by asking if that is true, then all other warranty issues happen right away and not over time? if so, then why have warranties that last for years? he seemed upset that I would question him about it and said that even if I called customer service that it would not be replaced by the company under warranty. I also brought to his attention the liability issued associated with shattering sunroofs that could be something along the lines of bridgestone/Ford. I have researched this issue and find several others have had the same issues dating back to the early 90's with the 3000gt. How can I get the company to replace this?.

Corners of driver and passenger sides are leaking seriously despite top replacement. Seals may have to be replaced. Cost so far - $2001 plus rental car. Passenger seat slides and is difficult to lock.

Rear window shattered while parked in covered parking. Unknown cause and no indentation (point of impact).
While driving about 3 mph and making a turn onto a side street, the vehicle hit a curb which caused a dent on the left side of the vehicle. The consumer stated while sitting in an enclosed body shop, the rear window exploded. . The consumer had two experts look at the window and in their opinion stated it was a defect, that a window should not exploded from hitting a curb at such low speed, but the Mitsubishi expert stated when the vehicle hit the curb, it twisted the entire vehicle and was part of a fender bender.
While sitting in parking lot rear window broke into millions of pieces. Mr.

Rear window broke and fell out without warning while driving on highway. Jb.
Rear window shattered in convertable top at 15 mph after normal acceleoration from 0 mph. We were stopped at a traffic light for several minutes with no other vehicles or persons present to either side or rear of vehicle. We were in a small line of traffic, 4 passenger cars from our position to the traffic light. Other problems noted by Mitsubishi dealership before rear window glass failure are excessive movement/popping of rear glass at speeds of 50+ mph. Pulling/stretch marks in fabric of top around rear window glass, fabric had begun to "shrink" upwards on the passenger and drivers side of top above front windows exposing interior of top. Upon inspection of the items by Mitsubishi dealer they considered all of the above items normal wear on convertable top. Mitsubishi denied warranty claim saying that "window glass does not just break on it's own". Mr.
