Failure Date: 02/21/2024

This vehicle has a potential manufacturer defect in the rear window regarding the defroster. After repeated use of the defroster heating up the window and cooling down the elements in the glass contracted and expanded and shattered the back window spontaneously causing an over $600 repair. There was no prior damage and no other possible causation that occurred for this and the vehicle window repair specialist looked at it and determined to that the fracture line was caused by these elements embedded in the glass this needs to be investigated.

2 Body problem of the 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor

I just bought this vehicle used in may. I noticed that the carpet gets soaked, actually a puddle of water underneath the drivers side feet. The floorboard and carpet get saturated and needs to be vacuumed at least one time a week. The water soaks my shoes and is a distraction while driving. The dealer blew out the ac line and vacuumed the water out, but said they are unable to do anything else with it.

5 Body problem of the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Failure Date: 06/15/2017

The car has been accumulating fluid on the floor of the driver's side. Usure of where the problem was, we have been absorbing the water and airing out the car. Mold has accumulated as well (black mold) and now I know why I've had repeated respiratory problems, including pneumonia three times over the past 2 years. Rust is also forming due to the constant humidity levels inside the car. The brake pedal seems to be rusting as well as the driver's side chair floor mount. I cannot see what is happening to the electrical wiring, as it is covered by the panels. There have been numerous times that due to the liquid on the floor of the driver's side, my foot has slipped while depressing the brake which has led to potential accidents. As I cannot see the floor itself (due to the carpeting), I don't know if that is rusting out as well. I have not taken it to a dealer yet, since I didn't know what the problem was. . . I thought that maybe rain was getting into the car somehow. Well, since it hasn't rained in over one week, and the puddle in the car was worse than ever before, I suspected the a/c system. I went online and have found numerous complaints and yet there is no recall? I am appalled that this situation has not been addressed? fungal respiratory infections can lead to death, especially for those who are vulnerable. Slippery brake pedals, rusting floor boards and rusting seat floor anchors, potential for electrical shorts and/or fires are not acceptable. The company has apparently not taken responsibility for these issues. Perhaps it will take a death for a recall? I would like to emphasize that no mechanic was able to definitively tell us where this leak was coming from, nor were we able to tell. . . Until now. It has been two years. This car has no resell value and should not be sold due to the potential for serious harm. This matter is long overdue!.

8 Body problem of the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Failure Date: 01/10/2015

From the time of purchase the car will not start after gas is put into it when the car is cut off. By pressing the accelerator slightly it will resume normal operation. The key does not come out of the ignition and the parking break will not disengage it. Keyless entry will not open or lock the doors, while at local gas station went inside and car was not there when got outside as if it was stolen but in fact had rolled into traffic and hit a car at the red light causing damage to both vehicles! the police arrived to investigate. A accident report was made and damage and well being assessment taken. The dealer who sold this vehicle to me a few months ago should know what they are selling to customers prior to sell because in this case someone could have lost their lives. I called the dealer and he said it is my problem now and does not want to give me license plates from deposit owed which will all the issues and potential out of pocket costs plates should be given to me in good faith.

10 Body problem of the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Failure Date: 05/01/2014

This problem is not related to the age of vehicle, nor is it owner-created. It is a manufacturer design flaw. Driver-side front floor stays soaking wet. Shoes get wet and slippery which is dangerous while pressing on gas and brake pedals (driving hazard). Mold continues to grow even after cleaned (health hazard). Told that the problem is a failed grommet from the evaporator core drain. No recall has been issued ($700 repair estimate to replace grommet). Due to health and safety hazards, a recall should be issued for this manufacturer flaw/faulty material!.

13 Body problem of the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor

My vehicle was moving at 30 mph when a car suddenly crossed the path causing to hit the other vehicle on the passenger side. The incident caused some visible frontal body damage and trip to hospital with son (seated at back seat during accident). The airbag did not deploy but thankfully seatbelts did the job. 22 Body problem of the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Failure Date: 05/11/2008

The paint on my Mitsubishi Endeavor 04, has all this oxidation going on on the roof and the window panels. I investigated this after taking my car back to dennis Mitsubishi and having them tell me they will paint the spots that are bad but not my whole car. I found out that there are thousands of people with Mitsubishi's that are having the exact same problem and the corporate office is just ignoring the problem that they know is the car makers error. They used bad paint coating on all the vehicles and they will not come out and admit that they are wrong. It is so awful to treat their customers this way and I can not believe they are allowed to just get away with it. Something should be done, they should have to recall these cars. I am not the only one sitting around shaking my head at this. If anyone types in Mitsubishi paint in there search engine you will see the number of incidents on many different web sites. This is just so wrong.

26 Body problem of the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Failure Date: 02/07/2005

Rolling down the rear windows causes an air vibration that is so loud and pulsing that it hurts your ears. Opening all the windows helps a little, but is still unacceptable. Opening just the rear windows is extremely painful. This problem has been noted by many Mitsubishi Endeavor owners. This is not the type of issue that can be identified, prior to purchasing the vehicle, when one buys the vehicle in the winter. Why would you ever roll the rear windows down? it is expected that you should be able to do so, without serious discomfort.
