The gas tank up on top is leaking gas onto the pipe, I have looked in all the local junk yards and they have told me that their vehicles in the yard all have the same problem.

The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact stated that he received a recall in regards to NHTSA campaign id number 10v065000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly: filler pipe and cap). The contact called his local dealer to schedule an appointment. However, he was informed that the parts would not be available for the repair until November 2012. The contact was concerned because they were unable to give him a definite date and when the recall repair will actually be done. The manufacturer was not contacted. The current and failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor pipe that leads from the place where you put in fuel to the fuel tank is made of metal and has rotted away. A hole has been found and when gas is put into the tank it leaks out all over the ground every time gas is put into the tank. It does this so severely, it almost doesn't make it into the tank and cannot fill up the entire tank. What has been done to correct the problem, is we ordered a new replacement hose (which is also metal so it will eventually rot out) and had it replaced. This is very expensive. This part should be recalled immediately! it is defective!.
