One problem related to front suspension shock absorber has been reported for the 1996 Mitsubishi Galant. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Recall 99v066001. Dealer and manufacturer wanted to charge owner to replace the lower control arm. The dealer found out the problem to be struts (shocks) and inner tie rod failures.
