Four problems related to steering rack have been reported for the 1999 Mitsubishi Galant. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer received recall notice 00v225001 for steering rack. Nut around steering rack is leaking. When turning mostly to left vehicle jerks & makes a grinding noise. Mechanic says could lose power steering, and not to drive vehicle until problem could be repaired.
Vehicle has same symptons as in recall 00v225001. Yet, this vehicle is not affected. Steering wheel shakes at any speed, getting worse when increasing speed.

Recall 00v225001; vehicle has been to dealer three times in reference to recall . Recall repairs did not correct problem, vehicle continued to vibrate and severely pull to right. Please give any further details.
