When shifting into reverse, the indicator module would indicate that the vehicle was in reverse but the vehicle would not engage in reverse. When attempting to reverse, the transmission warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where they advised him that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced.
