The contact owns a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage. While idling at a stop sign, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator and wrench icon illuminated. The vehicle restarted on the second attempt after the vehicle was parked for awhile. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (albany Mitsubishi, 1000 e oglethrope blvd, albany,GA, 31705) where it was diagnosed that the battery cell failed due to corrosion. The battery was purchased in February of 2017 from the same dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they were awaiting feedback from the dealer. The contact was referred to another dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 52,260.
